From onion rings to brownie bites, McCain Foods has your appetizer needs covered. But, they're known for more than their tasty treats.

"You can see that we've gone from what was a good safety performance to world class." Said Troy Jemison, Plant Manager.

The facility went from 27 recordable accidents in 2003 to zero last year.

They just received the company's President's Gold Safety Award.

The facility is widely known as one of the safest in the world.

With safety as a first priority, everyone including visitors must wear protective gear from their head to their toes before they step foot on that production floor.

The tour stops there, no cameras were allowed where the magic happens.

Though nearly 400 employees pass through these doors every day.

McCain Foods is among Grand Island's top 5 employers.

They just got a little bit bigger, hiring about a dozen Leprino Foods workers from the Ravenna plant that will soon be closing its doors forever.

"We're able to find work homes for these talented folks that were displaced by that and we're happy to bring that talent on site." Said Craig Garrett, Human Resources Business Partner with McCain Foods.

They say it's a win-win situation for the workers and the company.

"We were pretty excited with the level of technical expertise we were able to hire. A lot of times we have to hire people and train them." Said another employee.
