After nearly a decade, there will be a change at the top for the University of Nebraska system.
President James B. Milliken will become the next chancellor of City University in New York. He has served as the University of Nebraska President since 2004.
Milliken will begin his tenure at City University no later than June 1st. The NU Board of Regents will likely appoint an interim president while searching for Milliken's replacement.
Senator Mike Johanns and Governor Dave Heineman both issued statements wishing Milliken the best in his future endeavors.
