It is back by popular demand...

It is our unique way of capturing the night that was around the gridirons of high school football...

We are happy to once again see the Monday Highlight Reel.....

IT'S TIME TO STAND UP AND CHEER  BECAUSE THE MONDAY HIGHLIGHT REEL IS BACK AND READY FOR A BREAKTHRU. WE START IN BROKEN BOW WITH A HEADS UP PLAY BY GICC'S YOUHANNA GFAIHAN.   THE CRUSASER TIGHT END CATCHES A PASS FROM BRADY BROKAW THEN AS HE IS HIT, HAS THE PRESENCE OF MIND TO LATERAL  THE BALL TO JOE KRAJECK WHO TAKES THE BALL THE REST OF THE WAY FOR THE SCORE. THE CRUSADERS TOOK THE LEAD BUT BROKEN BOW CAME BACK TO WIN.

THE HASTINGS TIGERS ARE SHOWING SOME NEW STRIPES HERE AT LLOYD WILSON FIELD AND THEY ARE SHOWING NEW TALENT. QUATTERBACK BRENDEN VALENTINE COMPLETED 16 OF 21 FOR A PAIR OF SCORES AS THE TIGERS ROLLED 34–0 IN THE OPENER AGAINST THE GERING BULLDOGS.

BROC DREHER CAUGHT ONE OF THOSE AND IT SEEMS LIKE JUST YESTERDAY HIS FATHER CORY, NOW AN ASSISNTANT ON HEAD COACH ERIC EMERSON'S STAFF WAS HELPING THE TIGERS TO THE 1993 AND 94 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

A COUPLE OF DOWN TO THE WIRE DRAMATICE MATCHUPS HIGHLIGHTED OPENING NIGHT.  THE QUARTERBACK BATTLE BETWEEN GRAND ISLAND'S PIERCE ALMOND AND KEARNEY'S PEYTON PO–COCK WAS A CLASSIC AND THE ISLANDERS HELD OFF THE BEARCATS 35–28.

AT AURORA THE HUSKY WAS DANCING AS THE CRETE CARDINALS CAME TO TOWN. JAKE KITTLE SCRAMBLES AND FIRES DEEP FOR THE SCORE BUT THE CARDINALS CAME FROM BEHIND FOR A 36–29 OVER TIME WIN.

AND NO WE CAN'T FORGET THE CATCH OF THE WEEKEND AS THE HUSKERS JORDAN WESTERKAMP GOES BEHIND HIS BACK FOR THE CATCH IN THE WIN OVER FLORIDA ATLANTIC,

I'VE COACHES A LOT OF FOOTBALL, BEEN AROUND, I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT ONE..

NEITHER HAVE WE COACH, NEITHER HAVE  WE.

HERE ON THE MONDAY HIGHLIGHT REEL WE'LL NEVER PUSH YOU AWAY, ALWAYS TRY TO PAT YOU ON THE HEAD ALWAYS GET READY FOR SOME HARD HITS AND ALWAYS TRY TO NEVER LOSE OUR FOCUS AS WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT TIME WE TAKE THE FIELD FOR OUR NEXT MOND
