Hello everyone and welcome to the Nebraska high school rodeo here at the Adams County Fairgrounds. The first of three days of rodeo action began Thursday morning with the first go. The second go is underway.
Let's look at the early action from the goat tying events here where the rodeo is in its 11th consecutive year hear at the Fairgrounds.
Here is Shinia Simonson tying the goat down, but the animal came loose in just a few seconds and that is a "no time" for her.
Then it is Charmayne Strong off her horse, grabbing the rope and tying down the goat. The knot is true and she posts a good time of 11.09 seconds.
Then, Madison Haun takes her turn, she is down off of her horse and ties the goat down in a time of 10.51 seconds to take first place in the first go for the time being. Her sister Murphy Haun then took over first.
The first four riders go to Nationals in Wyoming.
