Nebraska is the new top state for cattle feeding. Governor Heineman along with Department of Agriculture Director Greg Ibach made the announcement today.
Texas has traditionally been the number one spot for cattle feeding. As of February 1st, Nebraska has passed Texas by 20 thousand head. At the start of the month, The Cornhusker State had 2.46 million head of cattle in feedlots above one thousand.
That's compared to Texas's number of 2.44 million head. Governor Heineman said this news is a milestone for our modern and progressive agriculture industry.
