The federal government's wheels may be flat;
Meanwhile Nebraska state businesses are still making progress.
The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry is traveling across the state holding legislative forums with local chamber of commerce members.
To gain insight on how businesses feel about issues on state policy.
"We need to get out as often as we can and hear directly from business people on what challenges and opportunities they have. I want to hear firsthand from business people how particular issues affect them," said Barry Kennedy, the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce President.
Their schedule today took them to Kearney, Grand Island and Hastings.
The issues they focus on are economic development, job creation and taxation's that affect Nebraska businesses.
