Nebraska's monthly unemployment rate is down again...
In numbers released this morning, the rate for December came in at 3.6 percent.
That's down one tenth of a percentage point from November and down two tenths of a point from December of 2012. The state's rate compares with a 6.7 percent rate nationally.
Here in the Tri-Cities; unemployment rates were up, although still below the state average. Hastings' unemployment went up to 3.5 from last month's 3.1 percent. Grand Island's rate increased three tenths of a percentage point to 3.3 percent, as did Kearney's with a December rate of 2.8 percent.
