Things are looking brighter for the 24 dogs rescued from Norman, Nebraska.

Only 6 of those dogs remain at Start Over Rover in Hastings.

The rest have been adopted.

Today, the animal shelter held their first ever fall festival.

Volunteers reported an influx of adoption applications today.

Start Over Rover hopes to make the fall fest an annual event.

"We have people who are bringing in donations today of blankets, of dog beds. We encourage things like that. We love that. The dogs love that,” said volunteer Anne Halbert.

If you missed today's event, don't worry.

Start Over Rover is gearing up for their annual Barktoberfest at Bullseye's Sports Bar on Friday, October 25th.
