The Nebraska School Activities Association has once again backed away from creating a policy for transgender students.

According to Nebraska Watchdog dot org, NSAA board chairman Alan Garey said the issue could have been raised at meetings in November or January, but none of the member schools asked to do so.

Last June, executive director Rhonda Blanford-Green told Nebraska Watchdog the NSAA board of directors had passed a transgender policy.

But after other media began reporting the story, NSAA officials disputed Blanford-Green, saying the policy was discussed, but not approved.

Catholic Schools across the state have expressed serious concerns with any policy saying it would affect their quote "philosophies and moral teachings."
