One of Ravenna's top employers is officially no more.

The Leprino Food Plant shut down for good Friday.

Leprino—one of the nation's top mozzarella cheese makers—announced in August they'd be closing the Ravenna plant.

Several employees were clearing out today...

Some are packing up and leaving town altogether.

The Colorado–based company is moving many operations to their Fort Morgan location.

A dwindling regional milk supply was cited as one reason for the plant closing.

The Ravenna Plant employed 173 people.

McCain Foods in Grand Island has hired about a dozen former Leprino workers.
