The Vintage and Classic Wheels Car Club held its annual car show at Stolley Park Sunday. More than 175 cars from all over Nebraska were shown at the park, which is a record high for the car club.
People paid $20 to register their cars in the show. Club President Rick Deaton said that money allows the group to sponsor two, $500 Central Community College Scholarships.
Deaton said it would be difficult to host the car show without the community's support.
"We go around to all the businesses and ask them to sponsor trophies, that helps pay for those," Deaton said. "We give out over 75 trophies for the car show so it can be very expensive without their help."
This was 31st year of the car show.
