Ayr resident Roger E. Egan, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Memorial service will be 11:00am, Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Eagles Club in Hastings, a Luncheon will follow the service. Private burial will be at the Blue Valley Cemetery. In honoring Roger’s wishes to be cremated there will be no viewing or visitation. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings. Roger E. Egan was born September 15, 1939 in Lexington, Nebraska, the son of Edwin and Edna (Huffer) Egan. He grew up in Wyoming, graduated from Roseland High School with the class of 1957 and attended Hastings College. Roger married Dottie (Maiden Name) on February 27, 1960, the later divorced. He owned and operated Ed’s Bar and was a Truck Driver. Roger enjoyed Hunting and Fishing.
Roger is survived by his children, Chellie Williamson and her husband Ronny, and Mick Egan and his wife Sharon; two grandsons, Nick Egan and special friend Ashley Walz, and Travis Egan all of Lincoln, Nebraska; former wife Dottie Egan of Panama, Nebraska; and Niece, Niki Christiansen of Littleton, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob Egan, and infant, John Egan; and grandson, Kyle Egan.
