Sasse wins big in Republican U.S. Senate race

In the contest to determine the GOP nominee for Nebraska's U.S. Senate race, Midland University President Ben Sasse came out as the big winner.
 
Sasse led early and continued strong, getting nearly half of the total Republican votes. Businessman Sid Dinsdale finished second with 22 percent of the votes, with former State Treasurer Shane Osborn close behind in third with 21% of the vote.
 
On the Democratic side, Candidate Dave Domina took more than half the votes from opponent Larry Marvin.
