Get to work. That's the message US Senator Deb Fischer has for her colleagues on both sides of the aisle.
Wednesday Fischer said Washington could learn from our fellow Nebraskans.
They've rolled up their sleeves and took action after the state endured severe weather and watched as a tornado tore through Wayne, Nebraska.
In Washington, the Nebraska Senator said several good ideas are on the table when it comes to ending the shutdown.
"Including repealing the medical device tax. Including a one year delay of the individual mandate to purchase costly insurance. And also including the preservation of legally required spending reduction while providing more flexibility to determine what programs to cut," said Fischer.
One thing the Senator won't negotiate—she said she and every Republican stands strong on repealing Obamacare.
