Shasta Mae Tanner, 36, of Grand Island died September 23, 2013 at Creighton University Hospital in Omaha with her family at her side.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly Lanzendorf officiating.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Shasta was born on July 30, 1977 in Grand Island.
She is survived by her husband, Mario Chavarria; her children, Alexander Tanner, MacKayla Mora and Lluliana Mora; her mother, Linda Fegter; brothers, Mike Roberts of Alabama, Mark Roberts of Grand Island and Rick (Beth)Tanner of North Platte; and sister, Michele Roberts of Leavenworth, KS.
Those also left to cherish her memory include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Shasta grew up and received her education in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1995. She was married to Mario on July 21, 2012. Shasta had been employed as assistant manager at Casey’s in Grand Island.
Shasta loved to be with her family and children. Stubborn to a fault, she knew her mind and wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion. We will miss you, Shasta, and your wonderful smile.
