Some of them are in their 80s and they have better dance moves than Miley Cyrus. The Shim Sham senior dancers showed off their skills with two performances Wednesday afternoon at Fonner Park. Song selections ranged from "Pretty Woman," to the Husker fight song. All of the money the group earns goes to tuition for young dancers. Shim Sham is based in Nebraska but the dancers come from all over the country. It started in 1989. Members have come and gone but the group is still strong and thriving. "Dancing keeps their bodies physically active and memorizing all those routines keeps their mind active. And our instructor, Tracy Hart, does not make it easy," said Barb Carlson. To be in the group you have to be at least 50. They performed once this morning and again at 12:30. Shim Sham has been perfuming at the Nebraska State Fair for over a decade.
