At tonight's final home basketball game for the Saint Cecilia Bluehawks... the community came together to celebrate... and help... a local family that's been through a lot.
The Vertins were awarded a large donation toward their three sons' treatment of Duchene muscular dystrophy.
The disease that Max, Rowan, and Charlie have cause children to lose their ability to walk over time.
But with the money raised because of Coach Asher's push... and each three pointer made by the team this year... the boys' dad hopes for the best... and said he wants to bring awareness to the disease.
The boys' mom will take them to Cincinnati on Monday for treatment.
The money is going towards helping the Vertins with expenses to their trip to Cincinnati.
