When it comes to a new airplane for the Governor, a bill has taken flight. Senators passed the first round of debate of the bill by a 31 to 3 vote this morning. The aircraft would cost more than 3.5 million dollars. The plane would be used for state business only and would be for the Governor and other state officials. One of the changes to the bill? The plane would be bought, not leased. The current plane would be sold.
