Nebraska's monthly unemployment rate is down again. The rate for April came in at 3.6 percent.
That's down two tenths of a percentage point from March and down four tenths of a point from April of 2013. The state's rate compares with a 6.3 percent rate nationally.
Here in the Tri-Cities unemployment rates were also down compared with March numbers. Hastings' unemployment dropped to 3.3 from last month's 4.4 percent.
Grand Island's rate dropped over 3 and a half percentage points to 3.1 percent; and Kearney's fell from 3.2% in March to an April rate of 2.6%.
