The streets of Nebraska could soon be a little bit safer as a bill that would ban new forms of synthetic drugs gets one step closer to approval.
Yesterday state lawmakers advanced LB811-targeting the synthetic drug K-2 with a 33 to 0 vote. Ogallala Senator Ken Schilz introduced the bill as part of Attorney General Jon Bruning's legislative package.
Nebraska has a current ban on K2, but this bill would ban new forms of synthetic drugs. The bill just needs one more round of approval before becoming law.
