Change is on the way for the Hall County Board of Supervisors. Two out of the three incumbents on yesterday's ballot fell short.

Board Chairman Bob McFarland has lost his seat to Jane Jeffries Richardson.

Jeffries Richardson walked away with 56.68 percent of the votes in District 5. District 1 Supervisor David Ziola also fell short in his run for re-election. Doug Lanfear defeated Ziola with 52.61 percent of the votes. District 3 Supervisor Steve Schuppan will hold on to his seat; finishing with 53.42 percent of the votes, against his opponent Robert M. Humiston, Jr.

Fellow Hall County Supervisor Pam Lancaster says these races could have an impact on decisions down the road.
"With the complex issues that were dealing with in the county the things about the courthouse and so on there's lots of room here for potential change and interaction within the board of supervisors."
Jeffries Richardson will now face off against Democrat Pat O'Neill in November.
