University of Nebraska President J.B. Milliken is leaving Lincoln.

Today, the board of Trustees of The City University of New York unanimously appointed Milliken as the new Chancellor at the school.

Milliken has served as Nebraska President for the past 10 years but he does have a connection to New York. Milliken received his law degree from New York University back in 1983.

Milliken takes over for Dr. Matthew Goldstein who retired this summer. A search for Milliken's replacement will begin immediately.
