It didn't take long Saturday morning for 2nd Street to fill up with patriotic Hastings residents.
All through the downtown area, locals showed their support for our nation's veterans Saturday.
From the Adams Central Band to the Boys Scouts of America, there was no shortage of marchers in the Veterans Recognition Parade.
"It gives you a little pride,” veteran Bill Zimmerman said. “Just makes you feel good."
Parade marshals in this year's parade served in Vietnam, Omaha Beach and Kuwait to name a few.
The Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army and Cost Guard were all represented among the parade marshals.
