The city of Wood River is desperately in need of a building inspector. The city is building a new City Hall unit which will need an inspection. They are hoping to have it completed by the end of July.
The city is asking Hall County for assistance. The mayor of Wood River is asking for help in hopes of keeping the cost down for taxpayers.
"I think if we can work with the county and us small towns Doniphan, Wood River, Carol maybe we can figure out a way we can cost share it or work out an agreement with the city of Grand Island if they can help us out."
The new building will feature office space for the mayor and several other spaces for city employees.
