Welcome back to the 2013 Nebraska State Fair where we're experiencing the Thrill of it All...
Wyoming football coach Dave Christensen saw quarterback Taylor Martinez 2 seasons ago when the Huskers defeated his Cowboys 38–14 in Laramie.
He knows the Big Red will be hard to stop Saturday night when the Cowboys visit Nebraska in the season opener.
"Well, he's similar to when I had Brad Smith who played for me who can throw and run and he's a dual threat both ways. I'm tired of watching the big scramble he has last year against Wisconsin on TV, it scares me to death everytime I see it. He's a great player and he can hurt you in a number of ways and the key is to try and contain him and keep him in the pocket. When he breaks containment like any other quarterback who has good feet and can throw, it breaks down.
I'm not on defense so I don't know completely from a defensive perspective. Just try to contain Martinez which is absolutely not easy to do. You know he's one of the best quarterbacks in the country so and that obviously they have a lot surrounding him on offense. They have one of the top offenses in the country so definitely going to have our hands full but we're embracing the chance and we're just excited."
On News 5 at ten we'll hear from one of the Cowboys who knows it'll be a thrill to play before over 91,000 fans, though most of them will be for the opposition.
