Unbelievable weather in the Dallas area this evening with tornadoes touching down and  flooding rains generated by tropical depression Hermine.  So far 8" has fallen in the Dallas area with widespread flooding.  The Trinity River may crest later this evening with officials are carefully watching the levies for possible breeching.
The circulation with Hermine is lifting into Oklahoma and that's where the flood threat currently resides with rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour.   The tropical rains will stay to the south and east of Nebraska.  Heaviest rains will extend from Oklahoma into southeast Kansas and into Missouri.
Thats ok.   For now we're doing alright in terms of soil moisture as according to the Palmer Index from the Climate Prediction Center.
On the News5 tonight at ten we'll effort footage of the tornado damage in the Dallas area during the weather segment.
