Here is a quick update as of 11pm of what's going on around the area. The tornado warning for parts of Lancaster, Saline and Gage Counties was replaced by a Severe T'storm Warning. The strong storm just to the north of Holdrege has weakened before entering Buffalo County.
Of immediate concern is a line of storms currently tracking through McCook and pushing eastward. These storm will join up with storms lifting northeast of Kansas and could form a complex of storms that appears will continues easward to the south of highway 6.
These storms have a history of 85 mph winds with pea sized hail, along with torrential rain. A rain guage near Trenton recorded 2.50 inches of rain in about a 30 minute timeframe. We'll keep a close eye on these as the night wears on.
Stay tuned to News 5 though the night for updates and warnings. We'll be here throughout the night.
