Derrick and I met on December 2, 2006. I was just a freshman in high school; and he was a junior. When you are that young, you don't really think you're going to really meet the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with. But everyday since that day we have been together, and they have been the happiest 6 years of my life. Our entire relationship we have lived an hour away from each other, so our time we share together is limited; but, the time we do have together is amazing. On December 17, 2011, he popped the question, and of course I said yes!! We will be getting married on June 8 and I absolutely cannot wait to be married to my best friend. It's almost like we grew up together and I just cannot imagine what my life would be like without him. He truly is my best friend, my travel buddy, my shoulder to cry on, and my personal comedian. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!
