Tom and I met 29 years ago. I didn't have a date for mu high school prom and was facing going with my dad. I received a weird phone call rom someone I didn't know, someone who wanted to take me to Prom. After meeting him 2 days later I can't say that it was love at first sight as I was still figuring out why a perfect stranger would want to take me to prom. After prom we dated for another week and out of the blue he said "don't be surprised if someone asks you to marry them". After meeting in April, going to prom, my graduating in May from high school, and getting engaged, we married in August 1984. Just short of knowine each other for 5 months, we have been married now for 29 years. We have survived having three kids of our own, four grandchildren and now we are raising two of those grandkids, here in Alma, NE. We have not had too much time toghether alone but we have been happy and we are still going strong. Winning this prizd would give the two of us a much needed break and some time away from the kids.
