Bluehawks Win State Golf Championship

St. Cecilia won the Boys Class C State Golf Championship Wednesday at Kearney Country Club. It is the first golf state championship in school history. The Bluehawks edged runner-up Gibbon by two strokes. St. Cecilia team members are Jono Schwenka, Jesse Souchek, Taylor Hershberger, Jeremy Murman and Drake Schmidt. The team is coached by Randy Ahrens. Murman and Souchek tied for seventh with two-day totals of 154. Schwenka finished with a 157, Schmidt a 168 and Hershberger a 172.
