450 New United States Flags were swaped for old ones on Saturday 28th 2008. Many who swapped out a flag were just happy to have an opportunity retire an older flag. Much thanks to the VFW and BSA for their pertisipation.

Thanks for doing the "Great American Flag Swap". It was nice to be able to properly dispose of a well worn flag as well as to receive a very good quality replacement. You and the scouts performed a beneficial service to the Hastings community.
