Habitat for Humanity helped local children gear up for the Christmas baking season last Friday evening as part of the Downtown Christmas annual celebration in Grand Island. Volunteers assisted children of all ages in decorating cookies and staying warm on the chilly evening. Habitat volunteers also handed out flyers inviting the public to their annual Christmas Cookie Walk. This event will take place on December 7th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grand Island. There will be over 10,000 holiday cookies for sale, along with a special raffle and other treats.
