I snapped a close up shot of a blue jay one day last summer while I was enjoying some quiet time on my back porch. I just happened to have my camera in hand as I was "practicing". Now...I've become almost obsessed with the beautiful birds that land in my yard and cannot sit on my back porch without my camera.
The other day I spotted a woodpecker in the neighbor's yard. He was kind enough to pose for me. Today, this cardinal (usually elusive) didn't see me as I became one with the backyard shed for awhile. He just hopped around on the branches, singing. I just kept snapping photos (singing...in my head).
I think they are all just beautiful!
