The new swimming pool facility will be able host to club swim events this coming summer as well as water aerobics, water sports leagues and the junior all sports camp.

The grand opening of the facility for members will be a week-long celebration beginning on Tuesday, May 19th with a Family Night Dinner at the Pool. Family Night Dinners are weekly events at Lochland Country Club, encouraging families to spend dinner time together. The following evening, Wednesday, May 20th, is a Men’s Golf League party which will also be hosted at the pool. Thursday, May 21st is the large Grand Opening Pool Party which will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres honoring LCC’s membership for it’s dedication, a live jazz band from Hastings College and a special toast to the new facility. During the Memorial Day weekend, water games, BBQs, and an ice cream social will take place at the pool.

Construction of the new swimming pool facility began Friday, September 12, 2008. The swimming pool facility was one portion of a three part plan which includes renovations to the 18-hole golf course and the building of two new tennis courts. Tennis court construction began in mid April and is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day weekend. These member supported projects have given the local economy a boost of over $1.1 million.
