Lois Sextro of Grand Island won $2,000 in a raffle sponsored by Walnut Middle School's Outdoor Learning Club, announced June 27 at the Boat Dock. Shown in the photo (from left) are Grand Island Senior High School students Jesus Escalera Mercado and Jorge Magena Mendoza, Lois Sextro, and Jeff Westerby, a club sponsor and counselor at Walnut. Mercado and Mendoza participated in the Outdoor Learning Club when they were Walnut students and now come back to Walnut to assist middle school students involved in the club.
