(Lincoln, NE)- Members of the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Radio Engineering & Project Management Team are the recipients of the Nebraska State Government Chapter of the National Management Association (NSGC/NMA) Expo 2009: Special Project Team award.

Made up of nine civilian employees, the NSP team oversaw the planning and installation of equipment in State Patrol and State Fire Marshal vehicles in the Troop E Headquarters in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The radio consoles, radios, mobile data computers and docking stations, were installed as part of the new statewide radio project. The first stage of the radio project was activated in Scottsbluff in September 2009.

Due to extensive planning, ability to stay on task and the willingness to work together cooperatively for long hours, the assignment which was projected to take a month-and a-half to complete was finished in a little more than two weeks.

The NSGC/NMA is an organization of state employees providing leadership and professional development opportunities. The Special Project Team award was presented during the NSCG/NMA annual conference. The ceremony took place Thursday, December 3, 2009, in the Warner Memorial Chamber of the Nebraska State Capitol.
