Christmas 2009 Blizzard In Hastings

Legitimate blizzard conditions pounded much of the Central Plains on Christmas Day 2009. Light to moderate snow combined with winds gusting to over 45 MPH to create 1/4 mile or less visibilities for several hours. In addition, temperatures were only around 10-15 degrees during the day, resulting in wind chills between -10 and -15. This video was shot around my apartment complex in Hastings, NE, where the airport across the street recorded a peak wind gust of 58 MPH at 146 PM. Truly a Christmas to remember!
