A storm rolled through the tri-cities area at about midnight on 6-12-10. With high winds, hail and lots of rain, many things were destroyed. Ayr was one of the areas hit hard. Ayr is located 10 miles south of Hastings.The grain bins at the Ayr elevator are toppled over like toys. Big beautiful cottonwood trees at Crystal Lake are no longer provided beauty and shade. Crystal Lake is located 1 mile north of Ayr. The first storm rolled through with 3 more smaller storms providing more rain. This has caused the Little Blue River to rise and pose a threat to Ayr and Crystal lake with flooding.
